Intergenerational Partnerships, Engaging Youth and Social Change

Domestic Violence Primary Prevention Technical Assistance & Training Project (DVPPTAT)

LIMITED SPACE AVAILABLE.   REGISTER EARLY!

The California Department of Public Health, Violence Prevention Unit, is pleased to offer Regional Trainings and Network Meetings to build capacity to implement Domestic Violence, Sexual Violence and Teen Dating Violence primary prevention programs. These sessions are being offered as an extension of CDPH/VPU's Domestic Violence Primary Prevention Technical Assistance & Training Project (DVPPTAT) and the Rape Prevention and Education  (RPE) Program.

These sessions are being conducted by Transforming Communities Technical Assistance, Training and Resource Center (TC-TAT) and the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CALCASA) and in partnership with the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence (CPEDV).

At the Regional Training, participants will:

  • Establish shared visioning around intergenerational partnerships for domestic violence/sexual violence/teen dating violence primary prevention and social change;
  • Explore the emerging and existing opportunities for engaging youth around prevention of TDV and connecting to other movements for social justice.

At the Regional Meeting: Collective Action for Prevention--Strengthening Our Prevention Networks and Prevention Agenda, participants will:

  • Begin to articulate an agenda that prevention educators and advocates can work on together;
  • Identify what is needed to build our networks and capacity to advance our agenda;
  • Highlight immediate opportunities to organize and advocate for local and state policy change.
